Sunday is a day of rest….Why is there only 4 new pages so far today. Are you all taking a day off?
Invite him to the Fine Mess and see what happens.Haha…I guess if we’re going to hire a coach that likes his liquor, might as well get the Gold Standard!
I misread this and thought you guys were talking about Doty.He is a mini-doodle. 2 and a half years old. This is a rare calm moment for him.
It’ll happen. Lally will step up however he can. Also, I find it interesting Weitsman is posting a lot more this last week “memories of his time with SU”.Apparently the 14 million in NIL tweet that was posted earlier is a leverage play from Hodgson. Appearing more and more likely that he wants the Syracuse job but only if he has the right resources, which is no surprise obviously.

Could a peace deal be on its way to the 315? Please be the case….It’ll happen. Lally will step up however he can. Also, I find it interesting Weitsman is posting a lot more this last week “memories of his time with SU”.

Sounds good, but Severud is still the chancellor until July1.It’ll happen. Lally will step up however he can. Also, I find it interesting Weitsman is posting a lot more this last week “memories of his time with SU”.
True, unless he has something really bad on AW to block reuniting the donor base, it appears from the outside he has lost all of his political capital.Sounds good, but Severud is still the chancellor until July1.
There is no way Kent stays until that date. I would wager he slows down going into the office come May. Haynie will start being folded into meetings and all that comes with the role. Kent will start getting briefed on Michigan stuff and will likely be traveling back and forth.Sounds good, but Severud is still the chancellor until July1.
Long live all doodles of all sizes! He is a mini-doodle. 2 and a half years old. This is a rare calm moment for him.
Yep, Providence donors being more united is why this is even competitive. If Syracuse donors can unite together, it’s over in Syracuse favor.what I’ve been hearing:
apologies if this is repeat info as it’s been hard to keep up with this thread. this might be nothing new or groundbreaking but when I hear things I figure I might as well pass it along. BH wants Syracuse. he’s had his eye on Syracuse for over a year. he also wants assurances and I do think our shaky NIL situation (not the recent stuff, but the fact we’ve had trouble being top 5 in the ACC spending-wise) has given some coaches pause when viewing this as a top job. BH wants clarity on the ability to raise more $. Providence is by far his 2nd choice but as much as it sounds crazy, their NIL situation is better at the moment. They have a few big donors who care deeply about PC basketball. They’ve made a strong push.
We’re in good shape imo. I’d describe PC as being used as leverage at the moment - but also real. If BH picks them it’s because we failed to provide the proper assurances. I don’t think gmac is the guy unless BH passes.
as expected, he asked, thru his agent, about available nil. in today's world its always going to be a question.what I’ve been hearing:

I think that’s fair though, his admin, his choices. I’d probably do the same thingJohn is a loyal soldier and would never say that. But lot of rumblings Haynie wanted someone else.
If lally likes hodgson so much why doesn't he just pony up to get it done?what I’ve been hearing:

You're spot on.what I’ve been hearing:

Haha thanks I guess I had colors on my mindFirst off only one ‘N’ in Siena.
They rarely if ever play zone. They play hard, and there are countless times when they make an adjustment at halftime and then dominate in the 2nd half. Gerry was outcoached in maybe 3/4 games this year. But they have been shorthanded all year. Offensively they don’t stand around and wait for the clock to expire like Red’s teams.
Roster wise they were without Ducharme who shot ~35% from 3 last year. That left them with barely any 3 point shooting. Brendan Coyle who was their sharpshooter last year struggled all year and they dont win in AC without him. He credits Gerry for sticking with it. They also had 2 freshman who were awful defenders who could shoot but they were streaky.
They also lost Tas Goodrick who was their center midyear, and he was really playing well and Antonio Chandler for the last 5 games due to eligibility. That left them with 2 big men for the MAAC tournament.
The development of Francis Folefac for a freshman in the MAAC has been outstanding. He also defended the MAAC player of the year in the title game who had 16 free throws alone in the win by Merrimack a few weeks prior. That was a stroke of genius which they credited to Ben Lee who was an assistant under Hop before coming to Siena.
Gavin Doty is also a dog. You would love him at Syracuse. He comes out of nowhere constantly for rebounds. Has a sick midrange game and is super competitive.
You're spot on.
We NEED to come up with the money he wants.
my sense is that we are in ballparkAre we in the ballpark or is the deficit considerable?
