In all honesty, I highly doubt the number is that high. it’s all postering. Hodg is trying to get the most out of Cuse and for good reason.
How about Rony Siekaly djing a rave on campus“Come to Bryan B. Blair’s BBBBBBQ. The extra B is for BYOBB.”
“What’s that extra B for?”
“It’s a typo.”
Mine is better from this era.Had to manifest the good ol' days

December 14, 2024 which was the same day this thread began. To say we have been closely monitoring Hodgson is an understatement. Let’s seal the deal.I like Bryan Hodgson.
Born and raised in Western New York.
Was Nate Oats assistant at Buffalo and Alabama.
Was lead recruiter for Alabama and brought in some great recruits.
Now he is HC at Arkansas State. Has them turned around after being awful. They beat Memphis this season.
What do you guys think Donnie Freeman is going to do? My gut tells me he’s portaling but I feel like Hodg could convince him to stay. He’d thrive in his system.
Good points. I would add that he really struggled against top competition but that could be because he had zero spacing / room to work. Whatever he does I hope he thrives.I think there is a possibility he stays with BH, but I think I want him to move on because I feel with AAU and High School, and then 2 years of Red he has picked up too many bad habits.

Assuming Hodgson is the guy, it will be interesting to see who he would want back. What do you guys think Donnie Freeman is going to do? My gut tells me he’s portaling but I feel like Hodg could convince him to stay. He’d thrive in his system.
I have his headband from that game in my office. Flung it into the student section after he ran into the tunnel.Mine is better from this era.
Bnoro and I won an intramural hoops title together iirc
AbsolutelyLow key post of the thread.
I’d imagine his buyout is rather highBeen out of the loop for a while with the program. Program should be trying to go after Ben McCollum. I know he just got to Iowa but Cuse is a better job and he’s a really really good basketball coach.
Was really good against UNC. I still think he could be really good w/ the right coach.Good points. I would add that he really struggled against top competition but that could be because he had zero spacing / room to work. Whatever he does I hope he thrives.
That’s on the important people but if I’m the AD or I have a lot of money as a booster, I’m going hard after him and figuring it out. He would crush it at CuseI’d imagine his buyout is rather high

Donnie in particular.
Freeman is going to be in demand. He will have options. But he is the poster child of the anti-BH player.
If BH thinks he is salvageable, go for it. Freeman should want to be a BH player. Personally, I question if he is willing to try and make that kind of fundamental change to his game. The question is, how much junk dog can you teach to a poodle?
He could be vastly better if he were properly coached and played like BH would want him too. Not sure you can fix Freeman. But BH would know better than me.
Elite talent identifier. I’ll be interested to see if he can find another Bennet Stirtz type. If he can, likely won’t be at Iowa very long. That’s on the important people but if I’m the AD or I have a lot of money as a booster, I’m going hard after him and figuring it out. He would crush it at Cuse
McCollum was born in Iowa and grew up in Iowa.Been out of the loop for a while with the program. Program should be trying to go after Ben McCollum. I know he just got to Iowa but Cuse is a better job and he’s a really really good basketball coach.
