This is it, right? It's not about whether we like him as a person or whether he'll be a great coach someday. If we hire him because we can't get someone better, then it implies we have other structural problems in the program. If that's the case, then we're setting him up to fail.

I'll go so far as to say that if we hire G Mac, then there was no reason to fire Red.

That isn't true. Gerry is a lot better coach than Red.

He’s terrible. There’s no sugarcoating it. He has zero clue how to coach an offense. I’ll probably get booted from this board if he’s the coach. It would be someone you would hire if you were trying to purposely make the worst hire ever. And he’s going to bring the friggin zone back. Everything about it is disgusting.

Based on what? Winning the MAAC tournament? Red won 20 games in the ACC 2 years ago. Which is the bigger feat?
