Well it wouldn't be anyone playing in the tournament then. So it is Hopkins OMG

May as well burn that money.Agree with the only disclaimer being if he really does get $30 million in NIL.
Fair enough. For me though, if I see a guy who I believe is a strong coach (no matter the level), I'm at least giving them a good look. And I don't think hiring GMAC means low resources. But I could be wrong too.I'm not saying he can't coach. I'm saying that he's coached in the MAAC. Maybe we'll find out, but if we're putting so few resources into this program that we're hiring GMAC, then I don't think we're going to be that much better. I hope I'm wrong. Maybe we'll find out.
That's because winning the MAAC gets an autobid. I'm happy for them, and I like autobids. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't think that's necessarily a better resume than winning 20 games in the ACC.Winning the MAAC and making the tournament.
I’d take Mulkey at this pointDawn Staley is starting to look pretty good right now.
No one does except for that bag of money being waved around. He’s basically one of those political candidates in a foreign country just buying an election if this happens.I can’t believe people think Mike Hopkins is a legitimate candidate. This is absurd. Coaches don’t even think he’s a good coach.
Ehhhh that’s not safe to sayI think it’s safe to say that at least the next coach will be better than Red.
I'll come back all night. I live for punishment; I'm a Syracuse fan.Did you seriously come back for more? If you think Adrian is the same coach as Gerry you should really stick to the entertainment threads on this site.
That is 99% of the coaching populationI think it’s safe to say that at least the next coach will be better than Red.
Hop!Then it would be Hop right? Because it won’t be Gerry until Siena loses. Or maybe it’s someone else not mentioned? I guess Luke Murray too since he’s an assistant and could stay on UConn’s bench for the tourney.
why is it some people can’t use logic when looking at level of competition as well as there are plenty of great coaches at lower levels as well. It’s kind of beyond dumb. Using that logic, Curt Cignetti stinks too!Based on what? Winning the MAAC tournament? Red won 20 games in the ACC 2 years ago. Which is the bigger feat?
By midnight it will be you and by 3am OrangeXtreme
I’m going to Vegas Tomm so I’m pulling an all nighter to prepare for the next 5 days of golf and March madnessI'll come back all night. I live for punishment; I'm a Syracuse fan.
So it’s hopIf it’s Hop, and he wins, it will be the greatest thing ever. The Dome would be rocking. The support would be crazy and it would be everything we hoped it would be with Red. And honestly Hop deserves that and pray he could deliver that if he’s the guy

The $30M that’s been mentioned for weeks is supposedly over 3 years. $10M annually is the bare minimum for teams next year. Considering that I imagine some of that $10M would go to funding the school’s $4M in direct compensation then it seems far less impressive.Agree with the only disclaimer being if he really does get $30 million in NIL.
A boy can dreamI think it’s safe to say that at least the next coach will be better than Red.
What a disaster. If it’s Hop, and he wins, it will be the greatest thing ever. The Dome would be rocking. The support would be crazy and it would be everything we hoped it would be with Red. And honestly Hop deserves that and pray he could deliver that if he’s the guy

Yeah but still…this thing has been in process for a year and then everyone just goes a different direction? If Hodgson pulled his name tonight, it now makes sense why…we’re making an announcement soon. Would not be surprised if it’s tomorrow.
