Hey AZ, circling back to this comment. Seems like a pretty big deal potentially, but probably reading too much into it.

Is your comment referring to something you’ve heard since I’m interpreting it implies donors are playing nice with each other? For example, could this open the door for Lallys being open to AW’s help and/or new Chancellor/AD is open to him donating the way he wants to?

Or was this just an opinion that it’s a certainty this need for $$$ has to happen?

Steele is not a good coach. This is the best season he’s had by far and a lot of that was schedule driven. His first two years at Miami he was under .500. At Xavier he was the 2022 version of JB every year.

Phil Martelli is 3 for 3 in 20 plus seasons and has made the tournament twice in a row with different teams. Would be an excellent choice.

When we used to lead the nation in attendance every year, and knocked off big programs routinely, this used to be a Top 5 job in the nation. That was about 15-20 years ago.

I wouldn’t go that far. I just think unlike with Kent that all donors are good donors. If we exclude it’s a mistake. Especially if others are not supporting hoops.

Correct so that rules out Hopkins as the #1 choice. Doesn't rule out GMac but if we wanted Hopkins no need to wait.

I think that's kinda a dumb take by locked on. There aren't only two people who can resurrect the program. Even those two top guys might fail but someone lesser known could be the perfect fit. Sometimes you never know.

Mike Waters just put out a story in the PS about Hodgson. He also stated reporters will meet with the new AD tomorrow.
