Coach Search Options after Autry

I would probably prefer McNamara over Skinn. I don’t love Skinn’s lack of offensive innovation. Martelli would be a solid backup. And as I said before, Murray could be a home run but he’s still something of a risk.

Murray is the wildcard because he hasnt been a head coach unlike others so who knows what you will get.

They are running what they can on Offense.. they are physically and athletically inferior to Duke. I saw competent offensive sets and good defensive fundamentals... Decent job coaching by GMAC

yeah, because it is easy to run sets against 5 star players
Come on, it’s the same offense we have seen the past 10 years. You know that. Iv said I’m impressed with Siena. I wanted them to win. Gmac did a great job coaching the defensive side of the court. They lost this game though because Siena has only made 6 FG’s in the second half. They couldn’t put any offense together.

I saw the opposite. I saw terrible offensive sets. They played with tremendous effort and that is a good sign for Gerry

Yupper. That’s really who it should be between. LM or Gmac. Everyone else fits into some other random lesser choice.

But I have seen them all coach multiple games this year
But then I would have to accept that you have a clue of what you are watching. Maybe you do. Probably you don't. All I heard from you and others was that 1. Gerry isn't a good enough coach and I'm sorry, he disproved that today all the while the guy that sits at the right hand of the Father according to this board ,
looked lost against a team that was playing without one of their best players. And 2. all I heard all year was that Doty couldn't play against this type of team. He could and he did.

You saw a team LIMITED by what they could run against Duke. I saw A ton of movement and ball moving. They dont have the players and they don't have enough horses... but they played really well against the #1 overall seed... no need to argue with you... I know what i was watching

He didn't disprove anything. His kids played harder than Duke. But Gerry has no concept of modern offensive basketball. He is exactly what I have said he is all year long. I said over a month ago offense will hold him back and he needs to find an offensive coach. That is exactly what happened today. They played hard and with great passion that will not get it done anymore.

I never once said Doty can't play

Im not in the business of blindly supporting the SU administration but there's only so many major donors to go around. Syracuse has increased its major donor base and has more coming in now then ever. However, in the current landscape its still not enough and some of those major donors are essentially football only.

They need to try and get more from the general fanbase and business community. The truth is there's only so much $$ they can generate and most schools are in much worse shape.
Small dollar donors, like in politics, could create a nice chunk of revenue, but you have to push it and promote it with the larger fanbase. Social media savvy could go a long way to cultivating that revenue source. I hope the new coach and AD are innovators and tap into that potential revenue source. I believe there are many fans who would donate small amounts to an NIL collective if they knew it would help their favorite team improve their standing. But it has to be promoted in a smart and savvy way.

Limited by his offensive system not by who they are playing.
