I'm not sure if G-Mac is the right hire or not, but he is definitely the easy hire. Will be interesting to see what the new AD does.

Gerry played it perfectly. I'm going down with my best guys. He’s the team that is a 16 seed.

You don't think that playing 3 guys down didn't have anything to do with that? See I do. He coached an exhausted team against a great team. And his team was right there. We can spin this anyway anyone wants to. But this board had a season long love affair with a coach whose team didn't show for most of the game today. And have also crapped on Gerry all year. We saw them both in their most important games of the season. Gerry is limited with this team because they can't shoot. It's tough to run great sets when you can't shoot. Now, I want to see Gerry, as I have said all year, what he can do without Doty. But he has my great respect right now.

I respect what Gerry and Siena did today and in their tourney. But you can’t really argue that Hodgson isn’t the more proven coach right now and is running a more innovative and modern offensive system. I want Hodgson and I’m still very skeptical of Gerry’s ceiling as a coach, especially on offense. That said, I hope he pulls a Danny Hurley and hires an innovative young assistant to help with the offense, ala Hurley with Luke Murray.
