Coach Search Options after Autry

So we can all agree it’s either tj, schertz or vandy coach as the mysterious candidate? I don’t think we can pay for oats so he’s not in there.
I wouldn’t mind any of those, though schertz’s buyout can’t be too cheap after the extension

Probably anothrer Autry supporter...Whether it was a parody or not, BH is not comfortable with our NIL funding. It seems like people are coveniently forgetting that fact.

Our program is in bad shape and on the decline. BH not wanting anything to do with it is a symptom of that decline. Without NIL we cannot win national championships.

This is why giving Autry a third year was so misguided. We are at a perilous point in college athletics and hoping that Adrian would figure it out with no evidence to back that up might have been the deathknell to our program. Stevie wonder could see this current situation coming. Go read the posts from 18 months ago. The assessments were the same in Year 2 and Year 3. What a suprise?

We need an intervention by congress or Adam Weitzman. Positivity doesn't pay the bills people!
Feels sort of how we ended up with Fran. They reached out. Just hope we can get all our GMac NIL guys to stay locked in for this mystery guy.
Ok your crazy… your telling me you wouldn’t want to know the name first of a coach who is still in the tourney right now.
Call GMAC. Before what’s behind door number two and we loose Gerry for good.

Jesus your killing me Dash

Wanted to try and list everyone that seemed universally (or almost universally) respected.

We know they are a current college coach.
I think we can eliminate all assistants as too many view hiring another assistant as too risky.

That leaves us with the following:

Schertz
TJO
Nate Oates
Jerrod Calhoun
Todd Golden
Mark Byington

Who did I miss?

Dasher, can you tell us if it is one of these guys?

So one thing that makes more and more sense lately is gmac saying to insiders here that he wasnt interested in the job a week or two back.

If he was hearing back then that mystery man #1 was our top target then I would prob be saying the same.

if I’m gmac I’m saying you know me and I know you all. Call me when you’re serious but until then I’m not begging.

Either way gmac is feeling good right now. Hes prob getting a lot of calls. Would be real fun if Providence called to inquire ha.

It's gotta be TJO. Calhoun wouldnt unite everyone. Golden is a non starter. Oates has a 10 Million dollar buyout. The only other one that tracks is Schertz. Jay Wright is the ultimate whale but I dont see him coming back to college in its current state. Either way this is great message boarding by the OG Dash. Still has his fastball. Great to see after all these years.

100% correct Some have actually guessed correctly

He was in the final four last year.
He has basically unlimited resources.
Alabama is where his kids are growing up.
Talk of him leaving is crazy.
North Carolina is another level in what he can get in terms of talent. North Carolina would be back to top 5 year over year if he went there.
