Well, we’d be solid in the fraternity of bald coaches.Well, one advantage Schertz has over Wooden is that he’s alive, so I’ll take Schertz

Agreed. I believe Hodgson became aware that JB was supporting GMAC for the job and that nugget made Hodgson uncomfortable.
I’ll just leave it at that.
John Wooden wouldn't know what to do with SLU's offenseRight. But let’s not make Schertz out to be John Wooden.
Clown stuff man, dude had a .830 Win % over 13 years at D2 and a .655 Win % since making the jump to D1 5 years ago. Just whooped a team by 25 in the NCAAT two days ago. He has been the hottest name on the coaching market the entire season. Some people just want to be miserable lolClearly an offensive mind. We’ll be fine as long as we avoid Dayton, George Mason and Rhode Island. All St. Louis losses down the stretch.
I don’t think it matters. The next coach will feel the pressure immediately.Schertz has turned around 2 programs in 2 years. That is fine. Gmac will have more pressure to win now because some will think he’s an extension of the former regime.
Go Michigan!!Not if St. Louis is still playing.
And the right coach will beat the pressure and have the support of 30k fans in the Dome every gameI don’t think it matters. The next coach will feel the pressure immediately.
Man we need one of these one seeds to go down. Maybe it’ll be Duke insteadGo Michigan!!

Oh no, a coach in the Atlantic 10 lost a few games to Atlantic 10 teams. Bill Self lost 10 games this year, he’s a piece of crap coachClearly an offensive mind. We’ll be fine as long as we avoid Dayton, George Mason and Rhode Island. All St. Louis losses down the stretch.
That works! Sure as hell won’t be Florida tomorrow the way they just took no prisoners yesterdayMan we need one of these one seeds to go down. Maybe it’ll be Duke instead
That’s putting it very lightly…Agreed. I believe Hodgson became aware that JB was supporting GMAC for the job and that nugget made Hodgson uncomfortable.

I just don’t see how Florida is going to lose unless their guards literally die. The bigs are too good. That works! Sure as hell won’t be Florida tomorrow the way they just took no prisoners yesterday

If Josh Schertz actually is who Dasher was hinting at earlier tonight, you have to do EVERYTHING you can to get him here. It’s a no brainer
I’ll fully support Schertz if he’s the guy. But don’t expect recruits and fans to turn their heads because we hired the coach from St. Louis. He’s a process coach. It’ll likely take a few years.Clown stuff man, dude had a .830 Win % over 13 years at D2 and a .655 Win % since making the jump to D1 5 years ago. Just whooped a team by 25 in the NCAAT two days ago. I don't want to get too excited, after the Hodgson intel fell through [and it was real].
But I couldn't agree more -- you are 100% spot on. This would be a called-shot grand slam. If it is possible, SU has to make it happen.
Again, I'm not going to get my hopes up. I hope to be pleasantly surprised. But hiring someone like Scherz would be a slam dunk, and we would universally be recognized in the sports media as having landed the top guy out there.

Person won’t get 2-3 years. Pitchforks will be out after 1 year.Absolutely. While Schertz has been successful, he’s not a household name. He’s not Pitino or Hurley or some other notable coach. If it’s him, many people are going to shrug their shoulders. He’ll need to rebuild the Syracuse brand, and it may take 2-3 years.
Didn’t take him very long at Saint Louis.I’ll fully support Schertz if he’s the guy. But don’t expect recruits and fans to turn their heads because we hired the coach from St. Louis. He’s a process coach. It’ll likely take a few years.
Pretty sure everyone rooting for Michigan even if you loathe Michigan
