A note that needs to be considered we have that Las Vegas tournament again this year, and quick turnaround, this might not be the best time to bring in Gerry. As we saw this year , played well hopes were up and everything went south after the 1st game.

Gerry can handle what ever comes his way. If you prefer Schertz say so. Simple. Do not doubt Gerry. We wouldn’t have so 10 fing games without him. I quote HiF coach.

It would make sense if Schertz is their first pick they would need to hit a certain NIL number. That takes time, They may also be trying to convince the NIL donors backing Gerry to now back Schertz. Good luck with that, Schertz did himself no favors today.
I doubt if many NIL donors follow college hoops closely. Many may not even know who Schertz is. Some may only follow the NCAAT.

I have no information that is what would make sense from the timeline:

-We reached out to Schertz
-He said no or not interested at that time (reported)
-STL announced contract not signed
-STL assigned to Buffalo
-Word leaks out about we have NIL now etc...
-We magically have an interview with him again

Either his agent reached back out and said just joking we are interested
or
Blair said I am now incharge and reached out and said we are different now I am in charge

I guessed 1 because it seems to make more sense as Schertz would have already been marked off JW list.

Thanks for clarifying. I have been hesitant to do this but I am way too invested now so I am gonna text my former player tomorrow and see if he will give me any inside scoop on Schertz-Cuse. He told me awhile back he didn’t think he was interested so I left it alone (and I messaged him jokingly saying please tell Coach Schertz I need a personal favor for him to take the Cuse job and save me). But now I am going to ask him straight up if there is any fuel to this .
