I will say this: watching the Duke game on Thursday, it was cool seeing Gerry on TV, getting talked about favorably. He looks young and was intense. It was easy to root for him, and not just because he was playing Duke. Because he's #3 -- Gerry Freaking McNamara.

Honestly, he looks a little bloated compared to a few years ago. Is he healthy? Or maybe too much Irish in him?

But people were talking about Hopkins and $30M. I didn't buy into that rumor.

Because if the NIL doesn't match what was suggested, then the hire is a really risky gamble for a program on the brink.

if this was ADBB’s decision then I trust his choice as he offered an outside perspective, but if this wasn’t… well then this program is irreparably damaged.
