I love white. He needs about 20-25 more lbs but he was developing a nice baby hook and plays tough defense. He is the most like Gmac on this team. Second is kings.

Having those two back would be fantastic.

Source who has first-hand knowledge believed it was GMac on Wednesday of last week before Duke, and that Hop would be associate HC.

Love Autry as player and person, but he never seemed in control. Not of a press conference, game management, time outs, player substitution, player effort, sets, etc.

GMAC took a job at a place thought to recruit at and lifted it up in very short time. He managed the team and the roster and had his players playing hard for him.

At this point he has shown a lot more than Autry ever showed. I don’t know that he will succeed but no one knows who would or could. He has a chance, will apparently have the $$$ and we’ll see.

Meanwhile, I always had a bit of concern about BH after that story about his run in with Autry’s son. And he didn’t cover himself in glory with the recent leaking either. He may prove to be a great coach, but there are some red flags to me.

Lastly, while I grew up in CNY, I’m not blind to the fact that it is t everyone’s top destination. I was always worried about what would happen post-JB. But JB loved it at SU and seemingly never seriously came close to leaving. I would really not have loved someone coming to SU and using it as a stepping stone to get to SEC or somewhere else. I doubt we have to worry about that with GMAC.

All the best to him. I hope he pulls it off. Will be scary, but will be exciting to see what happens.

We’ll be a 10 win team best next year if we’re starting with a foundation of Doty, Folefac, and Moesch. Need much better players than that.

Whoever said that will be the foundation? There are a couple good pieces there who can contribute immediately, but obviously GMac will have better talent than that on the roster.

That’s the real problem here ….. you paint it as positive but it’s not.

And you want the reality to be different than it is. People don’t care about sports except for who they know and winning.

I am rooting for G-Mac and think he will be a definite upgrade, but can't help feeling that we blew the opportunity of being the best job of the cycle, where the next best job was Providence (at least at this point in time).

Do top portal players want to play for GMac and an unproven offense or somewhere more stable/proven?

We need to add big time talents, shooters and athletes. Adding a couple of Siena kids and a couple middle tier portals aren’t going to cut it. We have to find higher end talent.
