So negative

including revenue share per Norlander. Read the articleSo 9 million then revenue share?
Five year contract for a school that probably couldn’t afford to buy him out doesn’t sound like a shortsighted reason leash to me.Very valid concern. I would expect GMAC will not allow himself to be hamstrung on the roster this way, and this is being discussed/negotiated now. He's no dummy.
He KNOWS he's gonna be on a short leash here and Daddy ball2 ain't gonna fly... He won't want to get painted into a corner on this like Red did
its not the same as last year. its bout $4m more so far.So the 12 million that Gerry would bring is now down to 9 million per Norlander. Can’t wait until it comes out that our NIL game isn’t good enough for Gerry.
You know, just continually moving the goal posts.
Disheartening Hire. Hope it works out for the best. But Gerry is essentially going to have the same amount of money we had this past year.
No question he is a better coach than Red. But is he that much better that it will change significantly?
3 million dollars less with a better coach would have paid more dividends. People would get on board with the success and the money would start to flow again.
And as I reported and 2 others have now reported, Jim is a problem for us. To quote Dark night movie, he has lived long enough to become the Villan.
I don't think he is strong enough or explosive to play inside in the ACC. It was too easy for one guy to control him with hip check or forearm to the back. Maybe he can dominate on the inside against less talented BE teams. Big east is probably the right level for him. Here's the thing. Donnie has an immense amount of talent. But he's always been perimeter oriented, despite being close to 6'10. He also hasn't been coached collegiately to play more inside out, to be tougher defensively, and to put more effort into rebound ing.
On other teams, the coach might tie his playing time towards him, putting forth an appropriate level of effort in those areas. At Syracuse, red didn't do that. No idea whether GMAC would, but I think that's what Donnie needs to actualize his potential. And if he's not going to get that here, then he should leave.
Seriously? It's literally stated in the sentence you quoted. Reading comprehension, it's what's for dinner. So 9 million then revenue share?
This threads in absolute shambles right now a bunch of grown men throwing hissy fits because they didn’t get the coach they wanted.
Grow up guys. Seriously.
So you’re saying you have watched Jim for over 40 years and you don’t believe him to be thin skinned? He handled himself so well in all those press conferences. I mean he even said in the one presser that he would make the call of when he would no longer be the coach of Syracuse. To suggest Boeheim essentially threw a fit and said he was going to block donations if he didn’t get his guy is a really big accusation against the man’s character. And if you are claiming this as fact with DIRECT and first-hand knowledge, it makes me question your own character.
I can fully believe JB makes his preferences known, but I’m not about to claim this man, who has given his full-self to the university, is throwing a program sabotaging tantrum behind the scenes. Especially if I wasn’t in the room where/when it happened.
Welcome back G-Mac. Go Cuse.
I'm very confident that Gerry will have a lot more than 9 million. So the 12 million that Gerry would bring is now down to 9 million per Norlander. Can’t wait until it comes out that our NIL game isn’t good enough for Gerry.

Yeah, how dare anyone have a different opinion from Lpool. This threads in absolute shambles right now a bunch of grown men throwing hissy fits because they didn’t get the coach they wanted.
Grow up guys. Seriously.
He got the job first 5 minutes agoWho is GM? Who are assistants that’s what I want to know.
The only one seemingly throwing a hissy fit is you. This threads in absolute shambles right now a bunch of grown men throwing hissy fits because they didn’t get the coach they wanted.
Grow up guys. Seriously.
its not the same as last year. its bout $4m more so far.
Okay sorry I don’t know what that means so only 9 million?including revenue share per Norlander. Read the article
You said you're re divesting from SU. That's not exactly "4Life", is it?Naw I’ll stand by my take. People out here saying Gmac has balls and that’s why he’s going to be successful was the reason I made that comment.
Math doesn’t add up bees. We were told we had 7-8 mill, now they’re saying 9 mill. What am I missing?its not the same as last year. its bout $4m more so far.
9 million is NIL or total rev share and NIL?I'm very confident that Gerry will have a lot more than 9 million.
Correct $9 million total per Norlander. But others on the board are more optimistic it will be higher.Okay sorry I don’t know what that means so only 9 million?
i read it differently and he worded it poorly. i read it as $9m nil and $4.5m rev share. How? He said 4.5 rev share and 4.5 NIL for a total of 9. Everyone said we had a total of over 8 million this year.
It’s also wrong because the rev share number is off. So he’s just wrong. This is what Matt Norlander wrote:

this doesnt sound like a competitive roster.
Norlander and others will says it’s less to keep that narrative that we don’t have enough resourcesCorrect $9 million total per Norlander. But others on the board are more optimistic it will be higher.
I’m getting bashed in here for saying thisIt’s also wrong because the rev share number is off. So he’s just wrong.

first, we haven't brought in anyone from Siena yet. second, the 9 million is not correct. Thamel said we were in the top third if not higher with Gerry.Really hope that $9M number is wrong, or it makes a lot of sense why we're bringing in three guys from Siena instead of one.
