Frank Howard can't dribble as a senior. that seems bad for player and staff as far as dev
I wouldn’t even say he “can’t dribble”. He has an average handle, is taller, and not all that quick. So he can’t go by the shorter, quicker guards with a lower center of gravity.
Howard has improved a lot as a player since his freshman year.
You don’t see mediocre ball handlers develop into Kenny Anderson at the age of 20, IMO.
Edit:To summarize my point, I think we need to recruit better ball handlers. The guys who stand out in that area came in as great ball handlers. Guys like Flynn and Pearl. Combo guards with mediocre handles aren’t going to turn into Flynn and Pearl in that area even with the best player development.
