Coaches are workin it..

I thought I read here that our staff is disorganized and had no idea what they are doing, they are going after more than just Rutgers verbals..There could quite possibly be an assistant as well.

You can bet PSU will be trying to fill out it's class too.

I hope that happens

I believe you are one of them that has said that Cybil. :)

Nope said the offense stinks as does the QB, specials are incompetent and that the NFL approach won't work and that the recruiting is mediocre (though I think it's improving). Those are the reasons I am not a fan of Marrone has nothing to do with where he stores his post it notes and #2 pencils or how quickly he hires his assistants. Game days he has shown some disorganization though. Facilities and money are the programs biggest issue

Fix that and I am good

I just hope that Coach Marrone is being very comforting with these poor RU recruits.

I doubt we can land him but this situation could help us with a few of our guys who are now 'soft' verbals. ALso worth it to take a shot at a few of the RU verbals but to be honest and unfortunately because normally we are but this past year we didnt go head to head a lot with RU, not sure theres much for us to go after this late.

#1 recruit we could steal in the aftermath is coach Jeff Hafley. You want NJ recruits this guy would bring them in.

Yup - he's the only 'recruit' I hope we have room for. I'm begging Dougie to hire this guy.

Family issues were one of the reasons Jeff went to RU last year. I believe these issues still exist. He would be an unbelievable addition to the Cuse staff, but I doubt he would make a lateral move.

No way is it a lateral move. The cat is out of the bag now, with the (anonymous) quote about conference uncertainty being one of the reasons Schiano departed. ACC > SunBeast.

From a pay and title standpoint, it would be a lateral move. Couple that with the family issues I mentioned, I don't think he would go to Cuse for anything less than DC role and we know that isn't happening.

Sure, if you only count the pay and title, it might be a lateral move. But no one knows what the pay might be, and you are dropping a lot of context that factors into a job's desirability.

It wouldn't be a lateral move if the new HC cleans house and brings in all of his own guys, as is often the case.

Good point. I am under the assumption that Jeff would be the first assistant retained due to his recruiting ability but your point is a good one.
