How was Al Groh able to predict every play call on O and D? I am not great at X and O's but what was our tell?

Why did we never stop blitzing? We got killed by the same play every time... their QB would step under our pressure and get 10 yards every time.

Why do our guys always get caught looking in the backfield or not looking at the ball when covering someone? Rookie mistakes.

How was it possible for our oline to be so bad. I suspect Nova was playing us for the run and the screens left the perimeter down field open but our QBs are just not accurate enough to take advantage of it.

After calling bubble screen after bubble screen I don't think it took a genius to figure out our play calling.

I can't believe how often their QB could run left and into open space. With 2 experienced OLBs you'd think we could have patched that.

My favorite thing was staring at 6 in the box against an fcs team and throwing screens play after play after play.

I dunno, maybe Groh gave McDonald his own playbook. It was alarming how often he knew the play just by the personal and formation. Except of course on the fake FG. But God didn't know that was coming.

I felt like our receivers were the "tell" on which play we were running. Looked like a basic run vs pass package but basic TV doesn't tell.

Still, we are 1-0 rather than 0-1

Nassib would get the ball out just as quickly but they would be slants and streaks down the field to lemon and sales into the soft part of the d. These screens just gave defenders time to close and put extra responsibility on the wr blocking. Just odd.

Marrone is 100x better then poor George. I'm just surprised we didn't lose any of those backwards pass fumbles.

gmc just needs to recruit better players to overcome all his coordinating faults.

but since that takes time, people need to realize he has the title of OC, because of his recruiting...and because we are Syracuse.

and programs like Syracuse, will take a lesser OC if he can recruit like hell.

the problem in this scenario is that the HC, is a D guy. so there is no real adult in the room.

and as for the Marrone talk...please. the man is HC in the NFL...yeah id say hes a decent coach and literally...leagues above this staff.
