Yes but they don't travel to CuseSeems like Boston College should be a better rivalry than it is, at least on paper.

WVU always felt more consistent. I remember either ’93 or ‘94 VT was the parents’ weekend game. Ironically they came from nowhere and got ranked that year. Good QB although I don’t remember his name.IMO VA Tech was closer
VT could be again, and with Miami coming up and FSU falling back, maybe there’s opportunity with them. We weren’t their rival, but we were pretty close in the 90’s. Both require regular scheduling, not once evert 8 years. The Dungy flying kick was something it could have been built upon, it only takes one “moment”.So did VA Tech. Both were on par back in the Big East days.
We are so maddeningly overdue for a win at Pitt. I can't believe it's been 25 and 23 years since our last wins there. 1999 was a Thursday night game and our last game at Pitt Stadium, and 2001 was our first and only win at Heinz Field. I was actually at both of these games in person.

I will never forget the , I believe, East Carolina game that Nunes was unceremoniously booed out of the dome to start the game. He responded for throwing for something like 400 yards and a bunch of TD's to lead a rout.We are so maddeningly overdue for a win at Pitt. 2018 was stolen with the forward progress no call.It really is insane. It's not like Pitt has been some overwhelming power the last 25 years (I know that we've had some truly horrible years in that stretch), nor is Heinz Field an intimidating atmosphere to play in.
I was at that game. Such a heartbreaker2018 was stolen with the forward progress no call.

We will never be a top 2 team in the league and thus will never be in the ACCCG. Doesn't mean we can't have good seasons, but we need to be realistic. Our once-a-decade good seasons still aren't as good as a lot of team's good seasons. This OP aged well. Last night was a nightmare. Currently drowning my sorrows at beautiful Bob Evans in Breezewood, PA.
My wife texted me last night that our 10 yo son was crying in the second quarter when he realized we won’t be making the playoff. My indoctrination project is complete.
The reality is, while McCord is a very gifted passer, he can be very reckless. There have been many times throughout the season when he just narrowly avoided a catastrophic INT, such as on our final possession vs Georgia Tech and during a TD pass in the flat to LQA vs UNLV.
If we beat Va Tech, we are 6-2 and are still on pace for a fantastic season. But it’s a major kick in the nuts that a conference title run is off the table. Oh well. At least Pitt fans were classy on our walk back to the car (LOL).
The goal isn’t the ACCCG- it’s making the playoffs. we just need to find a way to avoid the 2nd loss before November so we can entertain the possibility. That’s all we really need right? We will never be a top 2 team in the league and thus will never be in the ACCCG. Doesn't mean we can't have good seasons, but we need to be realistic. Being the conference champion would be our best way to make the playoffs. All I'm saying is that it's a pipe dream. The goal isn’t the ACCCG- it’s making the playoffs. we just need to find a way to avoid the 2nd loss before November so we can entertain the possibility. Well then let's hope we are a part of the new NFC East in a 64 team league and they quickly move to a 32 team playoff similar to the pros. That would give us more of a chance. Do away with the bowls at that point. Historically during our "good" years we could expect to make a 32 team playoff 75% of the time. 16 team playoff would be much harder.Being the conference champion would be our best way to make the playoffs.
