If we win the coin toss do we defer or take the ball? And why?

I would take the ball. We will have the crowd and the energy. My concern is that ED is too jacked up and we don't execute well coming out of the gate. If we defer
I would hate to see FSU hit a big one right off the bat and get our guys doubting a bit. Should be fun.

kick it. I want the crowd involved when FSU has the ball. If they get it after the half, half the people won't be back in their seats.

seems like the last few big games we came out of the blocks throwing an INT and getting behind.. that trend has to stop sometime.

100% take the damn ball and stuff it down their fkn mouths. Ask McNabb about that, since he'll be in the building tomorrow. We would always take the ball first to set the tone during his era. Dungey isn't McNabb, but our Offense is still very potent. You DO NOT want to play from behind. Get the fans involved early and get the success rolling. Do that, let FSU play catch up with a very loud orange and engaged fan base (even if it is only 40k or so). We score first, I REALLY like our chances.

Defer. Much like the Patriot way. Score before the half and then get the ball and score. Works every time.

I don't think so with the state of our team and program and fan base. We get down, the air goes out. Can we get it back, of course. But... we get up and play from ahead, fans will be nuts, beer will be flowing, team will have ultra confidence, and on and on. Take the ball first and score. We are too new to winning to put ourselves in a situation of come back against a name like fsu.

Defer - get a quick stop as they adjust to the loud house and gain the advantage.

I used to say receive every time, now, I’d almost always defer.

And, you get first crack with the ball after halftime adjustments. A super high % of scores happen at that time, for that reason.

Take the ball and score a touchdown like we did against Clemson. (I think)

I would kick it, force a fumble, run it in for a TD, then kick off again, ahead 7-0. That would be the way I would go, if I was the head coach.
;)

Take the ball, and go for blood on the first play of the game.

Score quick, get the crowd involved, and make FSU doubt themselves.
