Even The Great Dasher in all his wisdom could be wrong.Trusting dasher and his take on this and it sure sounds like we don't and aren't planning to.

Things may change, now that Cole has made his decision.
And if not... we're going to roll with a group that is awfully inexperienced / unproven at forward.
I wonder if this helps us convince Anselem to reconsider.
I’ll believe it when I see it.Exactly! Not like we are losing a lottery pick or even a fringe 2nd rounder.JB may have even encouraged this departure so he can move in a different direction on how he wants next years squad to look and play.
Close your eyes and tap your Orange Dunk lows three times and you can literally see it.I’ll believe it when I see it.
more minutes. fewer games.Feel bad for Swider. He could have gotten run on a FF team.
Instead, he chose to be here.
They must change now. We need a veteran player who can score, i dont care if hes a tall shooting guard or a forward who can shoot from deep and can score in other ways.Things may change, now that Cole has made his decision.

This is good news
LOL This is a lot of things. Good news isn't close to one of them. Unless you want us to lose. This is good news
I agree we need another forward. I'm just not sure the Head Coach agrees. I think the ass'ts want another player. Time will tell. I'm not saying we won't, yet. We will know more in a few days.Even The Great Dasher in all his wisdom could be wrong.
Yeah, this is just not true. This is good news
LOL This is a lot of things. Good news isn't close to one of them. Unless you want us to lose.
I disagree. I think he showed at the end of the year that he was better than that. With the other pieces we now have, I think he could have been a difference maker. Now we have to replace that and we aren't even sure that we will try to replace that.I wouldn't say its good news. He's a veteran, depth, and a capable score/rebounder, on a team that will lack those things.
But he was also a role player on one of the worst teams we've fielded in last four decades. If we're concerned, it's for other reasons, really.
I'll wait to see who they bring in to replace him, but I doubt they land someone better. For that reason, I'd rather he stayed.
We are in deep trouble if that's the case.Someone convince me this will not end up being Jim Boeheim path of least resistance - Cole scholly goes to Ballard, done and done.
PS - Good luck Cole. Please list your school as Syracuse in your pro bios going forward.
Or... It signals that they are much higher on JBA or our incoming guys than the recruiting services. Can live with one - but there needs to be one. If we don’t add another, it signals yet again this coaching staff isn’t serious about winning.
The timing is the only good news. At least we have time to pick.someone up now.Good news? Unless you are referring to the timing, losing Cole Swider is not good news.
It has to be the incoming guys.Or... It signals that they are much higher on JBA or our incoming guys than the recruiting services.
I really hope they get somebody good or are right in their estimates of the guys coming in.
I don't think both can be true. If our strategy building this roster is not to get someone really good because we are worried about Bunch of Taylor leaving that's a huge mistake. We need to be thinking both at this point. Hedge so that you lose less games not that a recruit enters the portal the following year. The missing skillsets doomed us this year.
Even The Great Dasher in all his wisdom could be wrong.
Let’s hope we bring in an equal or better player to replace him. Given what a lot of people have been saying recently, it may be unlikely. That’d be yet another case of roster malfeasance, but I won’t judge that until we know for sure.Honestly it's more to do with the sentiment shared that we won't go to the portal for his replacement. If it was a full go to hit the portal- while still a bummer, wouldn't feel as damning.
Yup, on both counts. We need to be thinking both at this point. Hedge so that you lose less games not that a recruit enters the portal the following year. The missing skillsets doomed us this year.
