I was taken aback that Swider was the leading rebounder going into the Duke game (he's not any more).Obviously smaller sample size for Cole, but can’t believe he has a better fg and 3pt %.
Actually I noticed the same about Cole - how flat his shot is but actually I’ve noticed an improvement in Benny’s shooting form from the beginning of the year.Cole’s shot looks so much flatter this year than it did at Nova. It looks like he is aiming the shot and he ends up hitting the front of the rim because of it. Benny’s shot is messed up, too. I don’t know what the heck is happening in practice, but why are our guys worse after getting here?
Benny yes, except for that turn around shot that he was deadly at last year. He now has a terrible hitch in it. It’s like he aims it instead of shooting it and it has no touch and clangs off the rim. He needs to trust the shot and stroke it at the height of his jump.Actually I noticed the same about Cole - how flat his shot is but actually I’ve noticed an improvement in Benny’s shooting form from the beginning of the year.
Hard to trust anything with such a short leash kids can’t be productive looking over their shoulders. And yes I am aware Benny needs to be better IE more active on glass and defensively although I believe he’s now the best defensive forward we haveBenny yes, except for that turn around shot that he was deadly at last year. Just wondering what makes you think that he’s our best defensive forward? He has the most potential with his athleticism but rebounding is considered a crucial and basic part of defense and sadly he hasn’t shown any feel for it. He’s young and hopefully he will learn its’ importance in practice and carry it over into games.Hard to trust anything with such a short leash kids can’t be productive looking over their shoulders. Thanks for asking. While I agree his rebounding can and should improve which is why I stated that he needs to be more active on glass he clearly covers more ground in the zone, drops back to cover the baseline better, rotates to help better than either starting forward and gets more tips and blocks in 3 minute spans than either forward. I really studied his defense in the stretch when JB was giving him development minutes and his actual defense was clearly better but agree definite room for growth in rebounding area.Just wondering what makes you think that he’s our best defensive forward? I really like Buddy and believe he's a good player. However, I've gotten so tired of all of the excuses with why his percentage is lower than some think it should be. At some point, it is what it is. This whole Buddy Buckets thing has gotten out of control. He's a good college player with a good shot. There are so many other guys in P5 that get as much attention as he does that have better percentages. Enough already. He is what he is. He just isn't elite. He's good and every once in a while, can be great.

What Benny needs is more playing time.Benny yes, except for that turn around shot that he was deadly at last year. He now has a terrible hitch in it. He's a fantastic shooter with questionable shot selection. His light is as green as Michael Jordan's was.I really like Buddy and believe he's a good player. How do you figure that? What proof do you have of that? Seriously? I'm tired of this narrative, that he's so great that he doesn't have to pass it to teammates and create offense. All he knows is shoot, shoot, shoot. Then when he doesn't make baskets, it's because "he doesn't get any open looks". Please. At some point, fantastic needs evidence. I don't see it.He's a fantastic shooter with questionable shot selection. His light is as green as Michael Jordan's was.
Thank God you said it. He’s just ok. Other coach’s must salivate when he awkwardly backs in and kills our possessions. How do you figure that? What proof do you have of that? Seriously? Microsecond because he cannot create his own shotNo arc whatsoever and most are unconstested - Buddy has a micro second to get a shot off
