kyle johnson played 6 for SU not that long ago. there are several kids playing a 6th year, Darryl Poston played 7 for utah in 2007, a kid for UCF did it in 2010. robert morris had 2 kids last year they tried to get a 7th yr.

Poor kid, his whole career was a mess

UTAH: Utah's leading returning running back was granted a seventh year of eligibility by the NCAA last January ... missed part or all of his first four seasons due to injuries, but was healthy last year ... transfer from Southern Cal came to Utah in May of 2004.


PRIOR TO UTAH:
2001- Played in four games at USC as a true freshman in 2001, rushing 8 times for 16 yards and 1 TD ... also caught a 10-yard pass ... sprained his knee and missed four games before returning for 2001 Las Vegas Bowl against Utah, when he rushed 3 times for 12 yards ...

2002- played in the first three games of 2002, rushing 4 times for minus 2 yards and a touchdown before a season-ending back injury ... because his injury happened so early in the season, he was able to redshirt,

2003- Not medically cleared to play at all

At Utah
2004-Played in one game before suffering a season-ending knee injury that required surgery ... saw action in season-opener vs. Texas A&M (1 carry for 3 yards).

2005-Played in seven games, recording 6 rushes for 19 yards (3.2 average) ... 4 touches for 14 yards against Wyoming ... also played on special teams ... lettered.

2006-Appeared in all 13 games, starting 11 ... team's leading rusher had 553 yards on 145 carries ... averaged 3.8 yards per carry and 42.5 yards per game ... also caught 14 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown ... tied for the team lead with 5 rushing touchdowns ... career-high 72 yards twice (vs. Northern Arizona and UNLV) ... rushed for two TDs at New Mexico.
