Plus, for a program of our "station," any QB we land is going to be a crapshoot. Cecil Howard was a 5 star. Perry Patterson was a 4 star.

Dungey was better than them put together, and didn't even get recruited by north west power programs.

Even at factories, not all QBs pan out, no matter how highly rated they are. We need to recruit over everyone on the roster, every year -- and then recruit over them via the portal.

Agree with the first part, but not the second. Me being objective with my opinion of this being a bad team with an average QB isn’t an indictment on my feelings overall. I believe in Fran, I believe he will get us to be a perineal winner, but this season and team is young and incomplete.

I’m confused how Angeli would be top shelf SEC next year when he was a 2nd/3rd string Big10 QB?

Also I hate the characterization of “This player is SEC caliber!!!!” Such a little brother thing to say.

Collins played well after he got his feet wet. From what I saw at practice we have 3 QBs that are very talented.

I thought the knee-jerk reactions to put Collins in last week were beyond stupid. But I don’t think knocking Rickie when he finally saw some time is productive. It’s clear Steve is well ahead of him and that’s why he’s Fran’s guy even when he has a rough half.

In our defense angelli played terrible for 3 quarters plus, but since to his credit hes been great.

Pena left for the bag. He would have stayed here if i was the qb if he was paid more.

I think it was more the case if he stayed at Cuse he was going to need more $ after going through spring practice. I don't believe Penn St paid him more. He probably thought it was a better opportunity to potentially play for a CFB contender and a proven QB.
