I'll date myself. I go back to before there was a BE.

Goodness, it was fun dominating the ECAC, but then came the BE.

Yes, we have always been near the top of the BE. Yes, we have won regular season titles & yes we have won tourney titles. But somehow, there always seemed to be at least one other team that was pretty much as good as we were.....GTown, St.J, UConn, Pitt, and Nova all have had there moments in the sun. Winning a title was always a challange and always a close call.

This season...there is nobody else. If we keep doing what we are doing we dominate & win the BE regular season by multiple games.

This is fun !!

I agree this is fun but I am still holding my breath
You have to admit that SU has had alot of great starts
But we have a brutal trip coming w UC and ND
And our finishing stretch w UConn and L-ville

We have been the most consistently successful team in the conference but we have never dominated it. The best Georgetown and Connecticut teams were better than our best teams and we've had trouble with Pittsburgh's and Lousivlle's style of play in recent years. We've won just two outright regular seaons Big East titles: 1991 and 2010. This year the waves seem to be parting, even though the schedule has some teams that have been proven to be dangerous at times. With the recruiting as exciting as it is, we may finally be in a positon to dominate this conference.

And we're leaving.
