Colton Moskal is transferring to Penn

Upset about this one he seemed like a hard worker and a hard hitter tough we couldn't get him in the rotation or see if he could play at SS, OLB, or something he's only an RS Freshman this seems crazy.

Best of luck to him. Really liked him, thought he could have been a big contributor eventually. He may just be home sick.

First casualty of increased depth of talent?
The optimistic way of looking at this is that he was a pretty good recruit, and if he thinks he's got guys ahead of him, that means the guys ahead of him are even better.

I would say this is different than losing a kid to transfer that's pretty much roster filler.

Damn this is awful. Colton was one of my favorite recruits 2 years ago. Great kid. The lack of PT thing is BS. Guarantee there is more to it then that. Now we are pretty damn thin at LB. None of the starters better get hurt.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Sometimes a lack of playing time is just a lack of playing time.

I'm inclined to believe that's the prime reason for this.

Some people look at a glass and see it as half full.

Some people look at a glass and see it as half empty.

People from Syracuse look at a glass and automatically assume you're trying to poison them. :noidea:

Where is everyone getting playing time as a reason? He isn't stupid no matter where he goes, there is nothing guaranteed.

With that said I bet he ends up in the Ivy league. He isn't going to another 1A school, or he'd lose a year.

I got it from a person from a paid site who I don't think I'm allowed to name here.

And then if they realize the glass is of beer they drink it anyway because hey, free beer.

Trey is definitely missing Colton, but they will always remain friends. And his leaving had nothing to do with playing time. Anomander got it. And has nothing to do with being close to home as the school he is looking at isn't any closer than Syracuse ;) Great kid, and he will succeed wherever he goes!

Some here got that from another site, where they have no clue. As you just said, as Ano said, as I said and a couple others, PT was not the issue and the statements made by SU were just SOP.

I mean if it's printed in the PS it has to be true right?

Actually some got it from a recruiting site.

Actually some got it from a recruiting site.
And both sites got it straight from Shafer. God forbid people decide to take our head coach at his word until any other info is presented to suggest what he's saying is not true.

I saw the article at the recruiting site, it said that would be his guess. Obviously wrong, but even with the quotes this one was just too strange to chalk up to blind faith cause Coach said so.

I'm going to have to go with Mama Dunk as the definitive word on this one. And if she's not wanting to share his business here, I can respect that.

Best of luck, Colton.
