...we have needed a reliable elite dodger for some time. Do we have one on the roster? Those that follow the team know what I'm talking about. This isn't a knock on Joey. At all. But he isn't the kind of dodger I'm referring to. Any freshman or upper classmen that are expected to make a jump in that aspect of their game? Life circumstances have made following lax this past off-season impossible so I'm curious as we head into the season.

Payton Anderson seems like the best bet. If he can make "the jump", this offense could really take off. His potential is massive. Size, speed, athleticism is all there. Michael Leo can be that sort of guy when need be. As for others, it sounds like Matt McIntee has that potential, though others who saw fall scrimmages could speak to that better than I. Freshmen, perhaps Bogue Hahn, but that's a lot to ask for of a freshman if it's the type of impact your looking for.

Been looking for random highlights and what have you since I am feeling the itch with the season so close. Never saw this particular one from the Princeton scrimmage with Cuse in the fall. It is weird to talk so much about a guy who has barely played in a game yet, but Kraftson once again humiliates a long pole defender early in this one, breaking his ankles on a lethal change of direction (quick clip around 15 seconds in). He has this along with the Binghamton ankle breaker from x. Yes these are likely backups on defenses that are not that great, but to dominate weaker longpole matchups like that means you can probably give a more quality short stick some serious problems off the dodge. With English out of the picture, I think he is our most likely new face to step up as a serious dodging threat. Has a great shot to go along with it too.

Kraftson and McIntee hopefully will be two strong dark horse contributors for us this season! I didn’t realize Kraftson was a top box player and NLL prospect as well.

Kraftson is? First time hearing that

McIntee is one that I've been hoping no one else has been thinking about in terms of opponents. I know coaches are so it's wishful thinking, but this year's senior class clouds my view of the rest roster sometimes. There are still some incredibly talented younger players on this roster that haven't played much yet.

As others have replied, I’ve never heard of Kraftson playing box & can’t find any evidence of him doing so online. Are you possibly confusing him with Ted Rawson, our freshman Canadian lefty A/M?

I think he maybe, though the NLL part wouldn't match their either

Ah sorry, I was thinking of O’farrell and had a brain fart. I swore someone who would know sent me an article on him being a big box player with serious potential, but now I’m not finding it.

My bad for the confusion here!

Ted is currently competing for the Burlington Blaze in the OJLL, and Owen with the Victoria Shamrocks in the BCJLL; both are just beginning their NCAA careers. Under NLL draft eligibility rules, players are generally eligible in the fall of their final NCAA year (e.g., Sammy and Grace in 2024, Greg in 2025). Or after they graduate (Hiltz in 2025). Looking ahead, the September 2026 NLL Draft is expected to feature a strong group, including Finn (Brampton, Sr. A), Joey (Muskies, Sr. B), Dante (Brampton, Sr. A), and potentially Luke (CBLL). Regarding recent OJLL graduates, Trey will transition to the Senior A level with Owen Sound retaining his rights, while Donny was drafted by Brampton Senior A.
