I usually post from m’y home PC but It os on thé Fritz and may havé to be replacéd at a time when that may prove difficult so it may be a while before I post again. - SWC75.

I've built a few personal computers including the one that I've been using for the past 5 years. It decided to retire unexpectedly a few months ago. I'm in a very slow process of replacing most of it's internal parts. I bought a cheap Chromebook when my computer died. That has allowed me to continue doing what I do and seriously slowed my effort to rebuild my desktop.

So...consider a Chromebook...their relatively inexpensive and they'll do whatever you would normally like to do internet wise. Pretty stable, simple learning curve...and fairly cheap. It will hold you over as far as posting is concerned.

Notice the emphasis on cost :)

Yeah SWC if you're just browsing get something real cheap. Chromebook would be great

People might be thinking, no big deal, who wants to read about the coaches show on 46.5 point favorite Clemson week anyway.

But just like you muscled out an upside after last week's win, the show must go on.

We will be expecting you to type the entire show recap on your flip phone.

The upside will be:
“It’s over. They can’t hurt us again for another ~12 months.”

the downside will be a link to the game summary on ESPN.com

2020 has even gotten to @SWC's PC. How much more must we suffer?

Please , Lord of cyberspace - forgive me for the sin of turning off my computer while Microsoft attempted to download updates, then decided not to and to remove them, told me not to turn off my computer but then froze up, leaving me with an empty blank screen instead of a log-on screen when I turned it back on. Thank you for allowing me to turn on my computer this morning to be greeted with the log-on screen and to find that my computer was again accessible and apparently in good working order, although it occasionally makes strange noises, in this it's 7th year of service to me. And thank you for allowing me to determine that the spell check on my I-Phone was somehow speaking French and finally allowing me to figure out how to switch it to English at 10:51PM.

You turned off your computer in the middle of an update?

Full disclosure I accidentally did that one time. It was not a fun time dealing with it.

The only problem seems to be that my computer fan keeps going on and off, (at least that's what it sounds like).

I've done some reading on that. It might not be the fan. it might be some damage to the hard drive. Maybe it's time to get a new machine anyway.

Recently upgraded tp the new MacBook Air 2020 model to replace my 2007 MacBook. Sure you spend more for an apple machine but it is worth every penny.
