The only reason storz is a rival, is because they were good. So by that definition our rivalries will be with dook and unc.

All we need to worry about is if we play in 'big' games. A rivalry is nice when u suck and can point to the rival and say...'Well we at least beat----'.

. i want gameday, big Monday, sat night GoW...etc.

The ACC is gonna rule, buckle up.

Going into the inaugural ACC season, I really wonder who will be our fiercest rival going forward into the next century...
A rivalry to replace Georgetown and Uconn, since I don't feel a nonconference foe can be a "most hated rival."
Also, I would like that top rival to transcend just one sport; in other words a team we could hate in football, basketball, maybe even lacrosse...

The last criteria would be that the other school would consider us their most hated foe as well...

You can't make these things up. They happen over time. I have a sense we are going to hate the calls Duke gets from the refs and will generate a quick dislike for them. UNC may turn out to be a rival in both sports. Seems about on the right level, and offers the most likely hope for games that would matter between us.

Maryland could have been if they had stayed around. Pitt will be a rival immediately. BC less so, but they used to matter on the schedule. Those were some hotly contested games, for certain years. Too bad we won't be playing Va. Tech and Miami again in football on an annual basis. That would have stoked the fire.
