Great game, I have no love for Miami but am thrilled that no SEC will be playing for it all. Wonder what Feinbaum will cry about. SEC gets all the pub but lands with a thud. Any body notice that Georgia has not played for a championship since losing HFBCFB

This isn’t the same Miami team that played like crap against us in the 1st half.

I enjoy shutting up the SEC homers that think their middle of the road teams can beat the top level teams of the ACC etc. because the conference is just so deep! Lol
Can't wait for it to be our turn!

BTW, the no-call at the end of the game was correct. The receiver was clearly also pushing off the DB; both have the same right to the ball. You almost never see pass interference called on a Hail Mary pass, for good reason. Too bad for the SEC.

Georgia still gets it's share of 5 stars but I have noticed a dip in their elite talent since the championships, especially on defense. Dominating D, pound you with the run game, elite TEs. Been a dip in all of those.

That, and the talent is becoming more spread out (for teams that have the re$ource$) .

I have mixed feelings about Miami's success...

On one hand, a national championship for the ACC in football would be extremely good for Syracuse and the ACC in general.

On the other hand, it's Miami. We have been picking their pocket for recruits a little bit lately, and a championship would likely make that harder.

But you need to beat the best to be the best, so I am leaning towards rooting for them to win the championship.

Success for Miami is not a positive for Syracuse. We are trying (and it’s working) taking talent out of south florida

While this is true, we NEED and i mean NEED the ACC to be successful if we want to be playing in bog boy football.

While yes, this will hurt recruiting, but you know what would hurt it worse? The ACC falling apart and Syracuse ending up in a G5 instead of a power conference.

SOOOO as much hate as we have for Miami, we really need them to win the Natty.

How is it good for the ACC if they do not share any of the money?

This will only put a gap between the ACC haves and the have nots. Which in turn gives the B1G/SEC more reason to add them next go around to eliminate the threat.

I disagree. Right now there is a commonly held discussion of whether the ACC is a viable football conference. A current ACC member winning the championship will go a very long way toward putting that conversation to rest. It will remind every current member that is currently thinking about pursuing another conference that the ultimate goal of making the playoffs and winning big is a possibility without moving. It also raises the conference profile, which will increase the likelihood of a big TV payday next time those conversations are happening. All of this is good for Syracuse, because if realignment continues and the ACC dissolves, we are the Oregon State of the world at this moment, not the Oregon.

Because the ACC winning will make more viewers want to watch the ACC.

If more people want to watch the ACC, the more ESPN will pay.

The more ESPN pays the ACC the more money in Syracuse's pocket.

We should always always always be rooting for ACC teams when they are playing non-league opponents and making runs to championships.

This, over and over and over.

It was my understanding (not sure) that Notre Dame wouldn't have to share playoff revenue, not being a full ACC conference member. I assumed that Miami would have to share. Any clarification here?

As much as I hate Miami, I’ve been cheering for the them the whole playoff run. It’s the best for ACC survival

Apparently NO ACC team has to share playoff revenue w the conference.

ND wouldn’t because:
They’re not in the ACC.
They suck.

I’m kinda torn on this -
All the other P4 conferences share bowl & playoff revenues.

But - that also means that a team can make a LOT more $ in the ACC when they go on a playoff run, so that’s pretty appealing reason for being in the ACC.

Miami doesn’t have to share as they are a full fledged member of the ACC. That’s an ACC thing

Yup cant stand them!!! But it is nice seeing an ACC team make a run.

Hope they win it all and we can shut all the doubters up about the ACC.

Ive argued that I thought the ACC was a far better conference than what anyone gives us credit for.

The ACC has decided that they would give ALL of them money to the teams that are in the CFP.

So unfortunately the money from the playoffs wont be shared with us.

This is something that only the ACC is doing. This is a move to encourage the top teams in our conference to NOT seek a different conference.

You are assuming that the ACC stays together long enough for the next ESPN look in. if you told me the ACC isn't going to lose any more schools, I would agree with you.

I think it discourages ACC teams from going to mid tier Bowl games. Schools didn't mind the financial loss since it was subsidized by the total ACC Bowl/Playoff pool. Now that isn't the case anymore, so why accept an invite to a Bowl that would lose the school money?
