I disagree. Right now there is a commonly held discussion of whether the ACC is a viable football conference. A current ACC member winning the championship will go a very long way toward putting that conversation to rest. It will remind every current member that is currently thinking about pursuing another conference that the ultimate goal of making the playoffs and winning big is a possibility without moving. It also raises the conference profile, which will increase the likelihood of a big TV payday next time those conversations are happening. All of this is good for Syracuse, because if realignment continues and the ACC dissolves, we are the Oregon State of the world at this moment, not the Oregon.
