BTW, the no-call at the end of the game was correct. The receiver was clearly also pushing off the DB; both have the same right to the ball. You almost never see pass interference called on a Hail Mary pass, for good reason. Too bad for the SEC.

Georgia still gets it's share of 5 stars but I have noticed a dip in their elite talent since the championships, especially on defense. Dominating D, pound you with the run game, elite TEs. Been a dip in all of those.

That, and the talent is becoming more spread out (for teams that have the re$ource$) .

While this is true, we NEED and i mean NEED the ACC to be successful if we want to be playing in bog boy football.

While yes, this will hurt recruiting, but you know what would hurt it worse? The ACC falling apart and Syracuse ending up in a G5 instead of a power conference.

I disagree. Right now there is a commonly held discussion of whether the ACC is a viable football conference. A current ACC member winning the championship will go a very long way toward putting that conversation to rest. It will remind every current member that is currently thinking about pursuing another conference that the ultimate goal of making the playoffs and winning big is a possibility without moving. It also raises the conference profile, which will increase the likelihood of a big TV payday next time those conversations are happening. All of this is good for Syracuse, because if realignment continues and the ACC dissolves, we are the Oregon State of the world at this moment, not the Oregon.

All the other P4 conferences share bowl & playoff revenues.

The ACC has decided that they would give ALL of them money to the teams that are in the CFP.

So unfortunately the money from the playoffs wont be shared with us.


This is something that only the ACC is doing. This is a move to encourage the top teams in our conference to NOT seek a different conference.

I think it discourages ACC teams from going to mid tier Bowl games. Schools didn't mind the financial loss since it was subsidized by the total ACC Bowl/Playoff pool. Now that isn't the case anymore, so why accept an invite to a Bowl that would lose the school money?
