Did anyone else notice that it looked like the ref signaled for two foul shots for Cooney at the end of the Maryland game and not a 1 and 1? I apologize if this was already posted.
The ref put up his index finger and pinky finger on the same hand. Wouldn't that indicate two shots and not a 1 and 1 (not knowing what he was saying)? Usually the ref will signal a 1 and 1 with one finger on both hands. Not sure if this is different when holding the ball in one hand and trying to signal with just the other hand.
Also watching the players on the line, they all seemed to stand there when Cooney shot the first foul shot and didn't go in to rebound a potential miss.
