Cooney Won that game

I know thats tongue in cheek but it really doesnt apply when the guy is hurt. He made plenty of bad plays today.

Eh, just enjoy Cooney's late game heroics! And BJ's fine play.

There is no evidence of anything that can detract from the idea (for some) that Cooney must play 40 minutes or we will get shutout, and that TC could at all benefit from some rest now and then....

He made prayers. If someone had done that to us think about how we would be reacting.

That being said, onions. And the sexual predator grin is back.

Well, that's the differentiation that people have made between he and Cooney, right? Nice to see him make some clutch shots with the game on the line. That spurt probably catapulted us to a win today.

Not saying that he singlehandedly "won" the game--but he picked the right time to hit a few shots in a row.

He made some big shots. Still took 11 FGA to get to 11 points.

But give the kid credit. Bad back. Still hit some big shots on the road against a top ten team. Hope he finishes the year strong.

He nailed two daggers late and gotta give him credit after Rak fouled out. Good part of a great win. In hockey he would have been my 2nd star of the night after Johnson.

11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 0 turnovers. With a bad back. Focus on the negative...
Hey Louie&Bouie, I think you misspelled your handle. It should be Louie&Bowie, right?

Don't over analyze these wins guys. Just enjoy it. This is not a normal year where we have to worry about every potential chink in the armor that could bite us in postseason play. If we win - no matter how we do it - it is a great day with no downside (excepting the case where a player gets injured, that would suck).

Honestly, so what?

The game isn't all about sabermetrics.

Ya. That's not sabermetrics or analytics.

I gave the kid big credit. Huge shots with a bad back.

Doesn't change it's an inefficient game from him. It means that his big shots made up for other parts of his game.

But sure, "so what".

As I've said before, when he stays under 12 shots a game the odds of winning go way up!

That felt like a great team win. Lots of contributions from different guys.

Cooney - huge shots down the stretch after Rak fouled out and our offense bogged down
BJ - big shots great overall game - 3 for 3 at the line down the stretch
Rak - good production in limited minutes and with his hands tied on defense because of the foul trouble
Chino - gave us some minutes in both halves had a Big offensive rebound to extend a possession late in the second half
MBJ - steady game, handled the ball for us 5 of 6 from the line
Roberson - 3 assists in limited minutes
Kaleb - couple points, four rebounds and a couple of assists
Patterson - 6 points only 1 TO

Anyone notice we played two big stretches of the game with BJ, Patterson and Obokoh all in the game, at the same time!!

Contributions from 8 guys!!

Cooney absolutely won this game. Heroic and crazy shots to bail out sputtering offense and guys who can't score. Offense was nothing when Rak fouled out. Nobody could do anything. God bless that kid, Cooney.

Anyone ever play with a bad back? It sucks balls. Seriously. But the interesting thing is that sometimes the back will loosen up as the game goes along. I honestly think that's what happened tonight. No way he makes the same shots in the beginning of the game with a tight back.

Glad it worked out, but his defense was fairly bad tonight.

It SUCKS BALLS.

Nothing worse than a bad back when you have to run.
