Not in the Syracuse area, weekend forecast right now for here is clear.

its 4 days out.. here is one model.. syracuse is in the 14-20, most models have us in the 6-10. central PA is in the 30" inches.. its a huge storm. as always tracking is the key. the euro/cmc/gfs all show a major storm right now. 50 miles changes from huge to a dusting..

this isnt only about syracuse though.. this type of storm messes up the airlines. look at the size of the map. its less than 3 days out most models lock down 48 hours out then its just tracking. even it goes west SU gets pounded. if it tracks east DC/NY/phil get shut down, no flights.

All I saw of the model was 30 inches of Central PA...we've had less than inch so far this winter.

Does the NCAA let this stuff get rescheduled if we're snowed out?

Clearly mother nature is not an SU fan. Perhaps one of the biggest and most important recruiting weekends in awhile and northeast may get blitzed.

Mother nature got us California speed demon the other day.

Meh, weather as a major factor is overrated, IMO. It's a running joke w/ my neighbors here in Charlotte about the Cuse's crappy weather, to which I just smile and say something lame & witty like: "University of Alaska was my safety school"...blahblahblah.
So many other factors go into the decision that if all one considers is the weather, then they're not doing it right.

There is little to no snow in the forecast for Syracuse from this storm, can we look into where all the recruits will likely be flying from? As long as they don't connect in DC, Philly, NYC I think we should be ok.

Isn't that every flight into Syracuse? Coming from Orlando I believe only JetBlue has 1 direct per day into Syr, everything else involves connectors through the aforementioned cities.

Its not good news. Nobody likes to deal with travel delays especially young kids

As long as it doesn't keep the planes from getting in we're good. I can't imagine canceling some of these visits with 1 weekend left I don't think we could recover. The current commits fine they can come next weekend but the others probably can't reschedule. We're hosting some real important kids.

not one syracuse weather guy has a forecast yet for this storm its too far out. i was in the 6-12 inch zone last week, went to bed and got not even a flake, some models have this as the 2nd biggest storm of all time.. it doesnt even have to hit directly to screw flights up.

Kentrail Moran and Joshua Black are coming from Illinois (no issue)
Kendall Coleman and Collin Miller are from Indiana (no issue)
Evan Foster is from Michigan (no issue)
Sam Heckel and Airon Servais are from Wisconsin (no issue)
Jo-El Shaw is from the Pitt area and there could be some issues with him depending how far west this storm pushes.
That leaves Jaquwan Nelson, Rashad Smith, Jerron Rollins from the Miami area; as orlandoorange mentioned there is one Jet Blue flight directly from Miami to Syracuse on Friday. There is also some American flights that connects in Charlotte which looks to be only getting rain.

They're talking about the storm hitting DC late Friday and moving up the coast. NY should get the brunt of it on Saturday. Hopefully by then, the recruits will already be here. I understand connections could complicate matters but with these coastal storms, Syracuse usually gets spared the worst (with 1996 being a major exception). Most of these kids are coming from the Midwest. If they fly direct from Chicago and Detroit, they might not even be affected by it.

Even those in FL could fly Delta via Atlanta... several daily non-stops from there to SYR.

JetBlue nonstop from FLL to SYR? has that started yet?
