Courtney Jackson has really stepped up

It’s just nice not to have a selfish WR core who doesn’t get mad if they don’t get the ball and are just happy with a TEAM effort.

something we didn’t see in the previous two years.

We might not have the best WRs in the ACC right now but they are developing and I’m really excited to see how Alford develops.

he was probably needing the RS but had to play last yr.. a bit stronger and more confidence has done well for him this year. Finally getting the ball in a bit of space at times helps too.

But all our WR really dont create a ton of separation windows to throw into.. no one strikes fear into a DB

He redshirted in 2019. Last year was a COVID redshirt.

Alford does, shrader just needs to learn how to lead receivers

But Alford right now is a one trick WR much of the time.. He does a slip dip and go deep. As he gets stronger he will fight thru that contact better and probably creater better separation on those plays more like ISH did. Nice to see he has gotten some shorter throws a few key times but he doesnt really yet accelerate out of those cuts to get much room to make the QB throws easier.. He might not have the body for that. if he gets better at the shorter stuff the deaper throws will even get more open. When you run mostly go stuff the guys sit on those.

I loved his film too. Sometimes players just take a bit of time to adjust. Love to see it’s starting to come together for him.
Agree. I think it took some time to get used to this level and he needed to gain confidence. I have to admit I got to the point last year that I didn't expect something good to happen when the ball was headed his way. What a difference a year makes. Love how he has developed!

undersized players that 2nd yr is big. the fact he got to play and still get 4 yrs will be good for him. Others as well. Not only catching the ball but exploding after the catch a bit more now.

I think he’s our future Erv Phillips.

CJ has easily been the shredders first read and most targeted since he took the reins. he's "in the circle"

Over the last 4 games he's really emerged as our main WR threat. It was awesome seeing him haul in that TD. Good things are happening there, really developing into a guy that makes some good things happen.

Oh great. Now the rest of the cfb world knows and he's going to leave with Tucker & Shrader and everyone else who is good.
