Really wouldn't be surprised if we hear from him this week regarding Shafer. The last few weeks are enough of a sample size to see that this team and coaching staff is not improving but rather going in the opposite direction. I believe he will make an announcement before the season is over and I think it will be this week before the Clemson game. I am almost certain Shafer will not be back next season because this is approaching Grob territory and believe me Coyle know that. Really like Shafer as a guy but not as a coach, unfortunate!

Coyle is smart. He could still hire a coach, get the guy signed in the next couple of weeks, and then announce the change in staff at the end of the season.
