every coaching candidate right now - except for Flood - has rutgers by the balls because they all know how desperate buttgers is. Knowing that schady got 2.35 million plus the house and all the other perks, candidates have the upper hand and would be stupid not to demand similar pay and concessions.

yeah that's another thing. seriously what head coach in their right mind wants to be told who his staff is. what if you hate all of your employees? seriously, you want to be able to bring in your own guys.

So you give him a decent base salary and load it up with performance incentives or something. I mean the season ends after election day anyway, so the pols won't be able to make an issue of what he gets paid if he meets his bench marks anyway.
