Interesting that we seem to be focused on bringing in transfers from P5 teams this year. After last year’s debacle sourcing players from low to mid major schools, it seems like a significantly better strategy that will hopefully result in a massively improved roster next year.

No chance for them to mess around. They have to make the NCAAT or get pink slips. Having your back against the wall can be extremely motivating
Honestly, I think it has more to do with having the dough this year.

Yeah, last year we got strung along with players and then they chose another team. The Leffew fiasco seemed to last months. I'm sure it wasn't that long, but it took a long time to play out. To the point we were on Plan Z.

There are so many players in the portal without a home. As time winds down their market will absolutely crash if it hasn’t already and I can’t help, but wonder if there’s some big diamond in the rough who could come in looking for the chance to compete and build his brand for next season that could help us this season. Kline has done a great job so far, but that would certainly Further enhance his value.
Guess how many of our guys that hit the portal with eligibility have homes so far. 0 of 5. Bell, Moore, Petar, Cuffe, Chance.
That should say alot.

What about pursuing Efton Reid for the center spot? His numbers at Wake were down last year when I thought he’d make a bigger jump. He’s a 247 top 100 transfer. I’d still rather have Quincy Ballard, who’s an elite shot blocker.

Even if they did return they probably wouldn’t see the floor with the new roster unless they made significant leaps in their games
I’m surprised that Moore and Bell haven’t found a home yet. I hope they aren’t doing the “Brissett” and holding out for bigger bags to watch options disappear along with their value.

What’s that mean? Nothing. Some have had plenty of schools interested. Doing zooms and taking visits. Sometimes it’s the player trying to decide what’s best for them. It doesn’t mean nobody wants them like some want to say.
