I know this isn't a popular opinion but I would like for our program to look big time and not celebrate by storming if we are lucky enough to win. I hope the student section is working on every student wearing 25 on March 2nd that would be cool. To see the entire Student section in Orange Superman logoish shirts with 25 instead of the S.

If I am in the minority that is fine and I respect the opposing mindset. I just think SU hoops are elite and should never be surprised when we win any game especially at home. Court stormings for me would be like if BC beat us when we were undefeated last year if that game where in Boston. SU football should storm any win over a ranked team at the Dome.

I hope the 25 idea catches on with students.

But if by some chance we do pull off the upset (at least in the eyes of Vegas odds makers), a program that truly considered itself elite would not take the occasion of a regular season victory, especially one at home- a precondition to the whole question of whether to storm the court, or not- and act as if they had knocked of someone who is in a totally different stratosphere than themselves, or as if they had won an NC. It would speak volumes about an underlying inferiority complex. It would be an embarrassment. We are Syracuse and we EXPECT to win, doubly so on our home court. Hey Duke, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. That's my two-cents.

Your position is well considered and well argued. Mr. Spock would admire its logic and consistency. But in the reality I live, Syracuse has had its worst season (so far) of the modern era, we can't participate in March Madness, and our beating Duke would qualify as the happiest of miracles and deliver complete and satisfying redemption for a season on the brink of being lost.

So, I say STORM, students! Storm like it's your job. Storm like your name is Norm! Storm as if the howling wolves of madness are nipping at your heels and the cavernous fiery pits of hell are gaping beneath your feet! For the love of all that is precious and holy and decent in this world, stooooooooorrrrrrrmmmmm!
