Current students who read this board PLEASE if we are lucky enough to win don't storm

I'll put it this way, anybody playing against Syracuse in the Dome is unquestionably the underdog no matter how wrong the oddsmakers get it. So why would we storm the court for beating a team that we should beat?

Serious question

Considering the subject (storming) and the current season, I have this to offer...I feel it's apropos,

THE CLASSICS IV
"Stormy"

(Perry "Buddy" C. Buien and James R. Cobb)

You were the sunshine, baby, whenever you smiled
But I call you Stormy today
All of a sudden that ole rain's fallin' down
And my world is cloudy and gray
You've gone away
Oh Stormy, oh Stormy
Bring back that sunny day

Yesterday's love was like a warm summer breeze
But, like the weather ya changed
Now things are dreary, baby
And it's windy and cold
And I stand alone in the rain
Callin' your name
Oh Stormy, oh Stormy
Bring back that sunny day

[Instrumental break]

Oh Stormy, oh Stormy
Bring back that sunny day

Bring back that sunny day

Oh Stormy,
[Fade]
Oh Stormy

the whole point of going to & enjoying sporting events is to live in the moment . . . if the moment is exciting enough to drive you onto the court, then go for it. I don't care if the team has just won back to back national titles and is sitting at 20-0 and the opponent is some cellar dweller - if the moment makes the kids delirious then they should embrace it. the whole concept of "rules" for court storming.

After we storm the court free drinks all around at Faegan's! GO ORANGE!!!

Was shocked last year we did not storm. I actually think this year the students have a better argument to do it. It would be letting out a ton of emotion from a pretty dark year. Storm away.

IIRC after Notre Dame beat Duke earlier this year Jerian Grant was urging the students not to rush the court. Maybe Rak will do the same tomorrow night.

Storm your hearts out. I will be in section 314, if I could storm, I would storm as well.

I would suspect that Jerian has had at least one court storm over his career at Notre Dame.

Rak his not -- he should feel free to experience it once.

I can't post a Halle Berry as Storm pic from my phone.

If the chance presents itself, storm away. Given the choice of being looked down upon as inappropriate court stormers after a win and losing, I will take the storm every time. I have never understood the judgmental attitudes against college kids storming the court. But then again, I never did anything inappropriate in college. It is part of the experience that kids remember for a lifetime....have fun and #BeatDuke

Agreed. To storm is to live. If Syracuse can somehow find a way to win tonight, I hope every kid in the student section runs on that court and celebrates.

My avatar partner, "Stormin' " Norman Mordue" approves of storming the court!
Can't argue with a Calvary guy. Nuff said
