Albany has two good players and they both are guards...they lead in scoring and REBOUNDING...Suerno is 6'4 and Arunhalt is 6'3---so our guards are playing against some height tonight. But that may mean our big guys are going to have a monster game. So with fact Albany lost to Pitt by a big bunch and they are guard oriented team...what do we think will happen tonight.
1. Melo, Christmas, and Keita have strong game---ball comes into block often
2. Scoop recovers and plays well...not necessarily scoring but distributing the ball
3. Waiters continues his run as a scorer and new found defensive effort
4. KJ continues to impress and make us forget about his knees
5. Triche stays aggresssive...
6. James continues to look good
7. CJ is a player
8. MCW continues growth to all american by junior year
9. Team flow in half court set gets better than last two games
10. What is best combination of guards
--is Triche a better PG than SG
--is Scoop a better Two
--does Waiters team with Triche...at least 6 minutes...they were a strong tandem in last game
and chemistry was good...Triche actually smiled being a PG
This should be an easy win...so we need to play smart and begin to get ready for the big boys.
That means:
1. Inside scoring---bigs need to be fed on set plays
2. Determine what combination of guards really is best regardless of who starts
3. Rebounding needs to pick up--and should with Albany guards being primary rebounders
4. KJ and Waiters being the go-to guys with passes to them...not just going one-one
Your thoughts as always to spice up the board...
