We were saying this exact thing near the end of shafer’s tenure. Then the first few years our offense was pretty solid for only portions of the game , usually first half, and the defense gave up far too many big plays in the Tampa 2. Then we finally put together last season with a relatively consistent offense and a defense that made big plays when they needed them. And all I heard was “wait until next year” for a qb that “fits” our system better despite possible issues at oline. Now we are averaging 12 points against 3 p5 teams.
