Cuse releases ACC schedule

Wow, we are in for a fantastic year of basketball!

I always felt that the Big East was a great recruiting tool, but playing these schools will be even better. Plus, I think it will do more to prepare our teams for the tournament than playing through the slog of the Big East. CAN'T WAIT!

Syracuse's first season of play in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is starting to take shape. The conference office announced the men's basketball game locations for 2013-14.

The Orange itinerary is broken down into the following contests:
  • Syracuse will play home-and-home dates with its two ACC "partners" -- Boston College and Pittsburgh.
  • The Orange have home-and-home series with Miami and Duke.
  • SU's five other league home games feature Georgia Tech, Clemson, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Notre Dame.
  • The remaining road-contest portion of the slate has Syracuse traveling to Florida State, Wake Forest, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Marlyand.
Actual game dates and times will be announced by the ACC office once television network designations are made and tip times are decided upon.
It is a beautiful thing for fans based in CNY. I feel for the many fans in New England, metro NYC, NJ, metro Philly, metro DC, etc.

At least the DC people get a bone with the Maryland game.

UNC fan/grad here with longtime ties to 'Cuse. Playing 'Cuse in either dome (the Carrier Dome or the Dean Dome) has been a dream of mine for some time now...can't wait to see it happen with regularity now. The ACC's rich heritage, combined with the new additions that are coming in this year, make it the best basketball conference in the land. Can't wait to get started.

Don't feel bad. As a resident of NYC i will gladly give up my yearly Syracuse vs St. Johns and SU vs Seton Hall games to be able to watch an SU/UNC series and an SU/Duke series.

They have been spoiled far too long! It's time to spread the Orange love to the rest of us up and down the East Coast!!

Of course Duke, UNC, pitt, ND etc. all roll into the Dome in the same year while I'm off at the fist of the first men, Buffalo (To go with the Game of Thrones references).

However, flawless victory expected. Send Roy crying fleeing the snowy streets of CUSE.

Didn't understand some of that post...but got a Tee anyways!!

thanks for your concern tom, but dont worry about us NYCers. we will just have the football team up the Giants Stadium quota... :rolling:

plus, we always get a nice tourny or game in the Garden.

Taking a guess here ... going forward we will either get Duke OR UNC at home every season.

Unless one of them is assigned as a home and home partner for the year (as Duke is for 2013-14).

In 2014-15 we should still get Duke at home and UNC on the road.

I hope I hope. :D
