Then why not play one guy in running situations and the other in passing? Or try moving Whitner back. Our secondary hasn't been tested this year by a real passing attack. Even if Martin is significantly better vs the pass, it hasn't made up for his awful talking.

Tested??! I've seen enough already especially from the safety play.

Thats why we need Cordy back. Staff would have Ellison out there if they thought he would solve the problem. Martin's bad tackling is obvious and they still wont put Ellison in. That tells me something.

Right, but he's saying he believes Ellison hasn't played this year. That's different than playing one game or even one down. You may have misread what he wrote.

He's a down hill player at 5'8" 180lbs with below average speed and hips. Not the best combo for a safety. Tougher than nails but is a huge liability in pass coverage. Wish I was wrong.

Coaching can overcome a certain amount of physical limitations... But sometimes it can't

The ACC tweeted out last years game highlights just the scoring plays. And one thing that stood out for me was how slow our defense (secondary) was last year compared to what I have seen this year.
