Cuse Sign at Yankee Stadium

UConn is only 28 miles from Yankee Stadium? In what universe?

Storrs to the Bronx is 132 miles.
My bad - didn't realize it was the Stamford Campus that came up on Google first. Thought it seemed a little too close.

Trying to work and do this at the same didn't didnt work out well.

No one wants to be "New Jersey's Team."

I always wondered why the state university of New Jersey called themselves Rutgers instead of New Jersey. Now we know.

People...you are looking at this all wrong. I want to thank all the uconn and rutgirls fans for constantly harping about this. All it does is give SU more publicity and relevancy. So we should be thanking them for their jealous, albeit knee-jerk and ignorant, reactions.

I didn't look it up before but decided to verify this "fact". Per Google UMD is closer to Yankee Stadium by 9 minutes of drive time (23 miles) - whoopie, solid argument there. The difference is only 28 miles to MSG, but we own that too. Wait a minute, what the heck does Maryland have to do with this?

UConn is only about 28 miles from Yankee Stadium - can you see our sign from campus, is that the problem?

You could add UMD and UConn's distances together and about equal Syracuse's, but we are still "New York's College Team" so deal with it.
Distances from Yankee Stadium as the crow flies...

Alumni Stadium, Chesthill Hill, MA 176.9 miles
Carrier Dome 193.8 miles
College Park Maryland 203.8 miles
Beaver Stadium, State College, PA 205.9 miles
Heinz Stadium Pittsburgh, PA 321.0 miles

You forgot one:

Hell... 0.0 miles

;)

West Point is 36 miles from the Bronx, I'm surprised that Army hasn't stalked a claim for the distinction "New York's College Team.".

I don't think Army would want to designate themselves to a specific area. They're more of a national team.

They represent something way more important.

So true. I hope someday someone at SU does the right thing and schedules a home and home with Army. Or a home, away, NYC 3 game series. It makes a so much sense and every college football fan, heck, every American, should visit the West Point campus at least one time in their lives.

If we didn't have the Met Life thing...a 1-1-1 would be awesome. I would put the neutral game at Yankee Stadium. But alas, I think only a home n home makes sense.

We might be able to do a home and neutral site (Yankee Stadium?).

Can we get back to how the same stupid Uconn fans who refer to Syracuse as "Canada South" are probably the same ones that bitch about the basketball team not liaving NYS until January?

That will be the next mission of Dr. G: "Syracuse - Canada's Team!"
