Well, this sucks. I guess it happened at a good time as I need to go back to work today. At this point I’m not going to invest in coaching search threads and just welcome the new coach when he’s announced. I don’t have the energy to go through this again.

Playing Buffalo, Toledo, Western Michigan is not the same as Dartmouth and Colgate, stop. Either way, we're getting a guy with exactly ZERO P5 experience, which is less than what Dino had atleast as an assistant. So like I said, if they want the dome to remain empty, sure, hire a guy like Chesney.

HC has played FBS and P5 opponents tough. They lost to Army and BC by 3 points. They are a match for MAC teams.

But I gotta say, this is a gut bunch and makes anyone on the level of Chesney or Coen a very bitter pill to swallow. The new hire may need to give a generational level speech upon arrival to get any kind of buy in from us die-hards.

I just don’t see how you can hold together this good (for Cuse) recruiting class, keep the current talent on the team, and upgrade via portal with a hire like Chesney. He’s unproven at this level.

Next year, while an easier schedule, will likely be a step backwards.

He may not be. There are a lot of assuumptions associated with Mullen: 1. He is the favorite, the top choice
2. His salary request is more than we we paid Babers, is in the SEC range and his previous salary, reported to be more than the 4 million we paid Babers.
Coach's salary side, we still have NIL concerns... Players want to be paid now.

Some people like to think they are on the inside. It’s a power trip for some on here. I said from day 1(not day 6 where I lived) that Thamel would give us the hint.

I fell for some of this that Mullin was in play because of being on campus. Wasn’t Lloyd Carr on campus at one point too for an interview? He may have been on campus buying gifts for big orange fans, has a cousin at the school. We tend to be crazy

Bob Chesney is going to be a fantastic partner to wildhack if he’s the guy. Grow into the job and be a force in the north east. There will be holdovers on the staff for sure.

Let’s settle down. Mullin was an incredible sugar high. You don’t do something for ticket sales you find a guy who can sustain winning and enthusiasm towards the program
