Class of 2014 Darrius Liggins

Trust the coaches, but it seems crazy that they seem to overlook good players that are dropped into their lap. Frustrating from our perspective I guess

We're just not used to getting our 1st choice and leaving players with issues, injuries, etc.

I hope so, for the last several years we've wished for a few last minute gems and been mostly empty handed come NLI day. Hope this year with GMAC and the ACC that changes

Carlin Clark from Miami Central seems to be the guy.

but it seems crazy that they seem to overlook good players that are dropped into their lap.

by whose measure though? If these players were highly thought of by the staff dont you think they'd recruit them?

UNCOMMITTED (as of Jan. 14)
Darrius Liggins (Oxford): The 6-foot-5, 225-pound one-time Mississippi State commitment re-opened his recruitment when the Bulldogs pulled his scholarship offer. Liggins, a two-star prospect according to Ryevals.com, scored an offer from Southern Miss almost immediately. I spoke with Liggins last week, and he told me he’s also recently picked up offers from UAB, Louisiana-Lafayette and Middle Tennessee. As a senior, he finished with 84 tackles (12 for loss) and 8 sacks.

Golden just offered Liggins
Wow. His first worthy offer since MSU. I think we've missed the boat on this kid. Seems like the edge rusher we needed to compliment Slayton.

Defensive end Darrius Liggins : With a long 6-foot-4, 230-pound frame, Liggins should remind MTSU fans of past pass-rushers for the Blue Raiders, but he must learn his craft before making an impact. For now, Liggins is a big athlete that should make quick strides in both the offseason strength & conditioning program and on-field practice. He projects as a difference-maker, which is why the Miami Hurricanes brought him in for a late official visit.
