Davis responds to JB

Tim Welsh's interview hasn't gotten enough emphasis...said he and Bernie roomed together on the road (assistants didn't get their own rooms in those days). He said not only did Bernie never have anyone else with him, but Bernie sat up all night talking to recruits on the phone while Tim watched game film. Not exactly the wild time depicted by Davis.

I agree that Welsh's comments are significant. However, Davis also alludes to being with BF on recruiting trips. I would have to think at least some of those were just BF without any other coaches or SU personnel. Not that it necessary validates Davis, or that it can even be proven that Davis was with Fine on any of those trips, but just something to think about.

Well, I'm sure some recruiting trips were/are relatively local and done via car.

Maybe but how local? Most kids we recruit are philly/baltimore area. Even NYC, I would be suprised if Bernie Fine is driving from Syracuse to NYC for recruiting trips?

Seems to me that Davis has helped JB in all of this if his accusations turn out to be true - he has said he never told JB about these allegations and now in the video he says JB was not there when he says the abuse happened. That it is hard to believe the guy at present almost goes without saying.

Maybe it is a medical condition, maybe it is drugs, maybe it is alcohol, maybe it is his personality from being abused. I don't think it really tells us anything.

Were any of them doctors? A psych guy said their behavior is very indicative of years of abuse whether it be drugs, alcohol or physical/sexual abuse.

No, theyre just sports fans at my job who all made jokes about Fine hanging out with Sandusky until today they told me they saw the interview, heard the new info and said they think theyre lying FWIW (public opinion). As far as psycho-analyzing them, you can take it anyway you want. Dr. Drew talked about how accusers who are lying often do it to people who have been good to them. Alot of pyschology stuff im hearing is like fortune telling, you can manipulate it anyway you want.

Also apparantly 1 out 6?? shocking if true, boys are molested. 1 out of 6 people dont act like Davis and Lang.

This. The problem with most people who deal with the human psyche is that you can pretty much twist anything to your particular perspective. As someone said on here the other day, if you come forward immediately, you're lying. If you wait years, you're lying. If you recant, you were paid off but it was true.

And it does make it sound in the article that he wanted money from Bernie or he was going to the cops.That is why i brought up the 5 grand in a post yesterday, as to was it hush money.But still would be pretty stupid for Bernie to demand it back.

To be fair, this is what the P-S reported this morning:

"In the ensuing months, as the newspaper investigated both Davis and Fine, Davis provided the newspaper with several photos of himself with Fine. There was one of them together at Fine’s parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. Another showed Davis with Fine’s family during a Fine family vacation in Maui. Davis signed an affidavit at The Post-Standard’s request."

Didn't ESPN intimate that Davis shared a room with Bernie on Maui? What did he do? Flip a coin with Laurie to see who got to sleep with Bernie?
