I am glad that so many of you are enjoying these camp threads and I want to thank you. I think I must have set a new record for being off the site for two hours and coming back to 225 alerts...mind boggling number of likes. So temery if the site crashes.. it's not my fault.

There were two bouncy rides in attendance today ... a bouncy house, and a bouncy slide.

We're moving on up.

plus free drinks, popcorn and cotton candy. kids are riding a sugar high while we have dinner at johnny's for old timey sake

if we did not already know, Shafer is a class act. signing session was over with maybe 60 people in line for him. some assistant was attempting to tell crowd that he had to leave. he hears this, stands up, looks at crowd, calls assistant over and assistant announces that he will sign the rest. he proceeded to talk with everyone, sign and take pictures.

My wife daughter and I were 15 or so back in that line and the guy behind me says Shafer won't leave and sure enough he stayed and signed everyone's poster. Met him, shook his hand, my wife and I met and spoke to his wife and daughter.

Great guy, down to earth classy family. I couldn't be more proud to have him as our coach and his family as part of our community.

Look to the right of the table where coach Shafer is signing, Missy Shafer is in the blue dress with Elsa Shafer talking to my wife and I with our daughter to the right pointing. Daughter was so excited.

Me either, my daughter has been going to games since she was about 4 months old. She asked after we left if we were going to tailgate.
