if he wants to stay close to home, the ACL won't "help" us(for lack of a better word) if SC and NC State do decide to back off. If he is ok leaving the area and they back off, then it could certainly help us. I would think we would not back off

That is very unfortunate. Hopefully schools continue to recruit him but I feel a number of programs will back off.
SU has shown it will stick with a player that suffers an injury prior to committing.
The only difference this year is that spots may fill up before he commits at his position.
