I realize the below doesn't go to NIL, but it fills other needs which can't hurt. By contrast we brought in $44 million. I also know Rutgers is deeply in debt, so perhaps the below means nothing and I am an idiot.

• In fiscal year 2024, the Big Ten reported around $928 million in total revenue, and distributed roughly $61.5 million each to Rutgers and Maryland — even though they had historically lower vesting status relative to longstanding members.
• For 2025, multiple outlets projected that Big Ten revenue would grow to at least $1.2 billion thanks to expanded media rights and conference growth — but the specific per-school payouts for 2025 aren’t yet officially published.

We have no idea how the staff priorities these guys. I would think that the Toledo guys we really want and our DC has a good relationship with would either give us first visit or a legit visit/conversation with before committing to regional rivals p4/ group of 5 school. Without direct knowledge of this recruitment imo he wasn’t first priority for us. Same with his DT teammate Carter who committed to UConn today. I would have been happy with either though so let’s see what we end up with.

Toledo guys with higher end P4 opportunities are a different story…
