Definition of a true point guard

Don’t mind me - I’m feeling a little spunky tonight. CUSE looked good, means I feel good!

The game totally changed when JB put Richmond in the game. He gets into the lane and distributes the ball. Defends the top of the zone well and hits the boards. JB needs to play him 25 minutes a game. The offense actually has a good flow when he is running the point. Joe and Buddy will also be better not playing 38 minutes a game.

Marek as a three is questionable. A three needs to be able to shoot and Marek can’t. He is skilled except for his shooting.
He can score from the 3. Hes better facing the basket from the wing than from center foul line. Hes a slasher and does best from off center with the ball. If he shot better hed be very wealthy.

That's exactly the kind of playing that should be more common with our offense. We have shooters who can be fantastic... if they only have to catch and shoot. When Griffin, Buddy, and JG have to dribble a bunch of times, and bump and grind with a defender, and then fade away in desperation to make some sort of space... we shoot a pretty low percentage.

KaDary gets us the kinds of shots that other teams get against our zone.

Yeah. You rarely see as immediate, significant impact by a player when they enter a game as last night with Kadary. For about 5 minutes or so he took over the game and (as Alexander observed to his credit during the broadcast) really cemented the outcome with that impact upon entry

So much to like about Kadary. I have to admit, I was a bit frustrated that it took, I believe about 7 minutes, for him to get on the court in the second half though. I guess beggars can't be choosers when it comes to Boeheim and his rotations.

There are many things that Kadary does better than Joe as a point guard. The most notable to me is that he is creates. Not often does he just pass the ball without specific intent. He is a playmaker and a hell of a talent. He is also a key to getting Q more touches.
